How to Find Air Traffic Control (ATC) Contact Numbers

Do you know where to locate ATC contact details?

It’s important to know how and when to contact Air Traffic Control (ATC), as this is something the CAA require you to include within your Drone Operations Manual. Not only do you need to state the contact telephone number of the relevant Aerodrome ATC, but you must also provide an explanation on how you would find said contact number and the process involved.

The NATS Aeronautical Information Service website has a wealth of information available, so it’s easy to spend (what feels like) forever trawling through the site page by page, link by link, only to end up no closer to what you’re looking for than you were 10 minutes before!

So, to make the process a little easier we’ve created a step by step visual guide on how and where to find the correct ATC contact details you require. Simply click the green icon on each image and follow the instruction – enjoy!
