DJI Release The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 Edition
Yesterday, DJI announced the launch of their newest member of the Phantom Series – the V2.0 edition of the Phantom 4 Pro (P4P V2.0).
Taking the best features of the Phantom 4 Pro, DJI have refined this aircraft with 60% noise reduction and OcuSync HD transmission technology. This allows for high-resolution and low-latency digital video transmission, plus the user can connect wirelessly to their DJI Goggles.
The camera has been redesigned with a 1” 20MP CMOS sensor with a mechanical shutter, to reduce any distortion when taking images at high speeds. It also features a new, wide-angle lens with a 24mm equivalent focal length, to ensure images and videos are always sharp.
This edition also features expanded Flight Autonomy with 5-direction obstacle sensing and 4-direction obstacle avoidance. The 6-camera navigation system means the aircraft can avoid obstacles in its flight path, whilst flying at speeds of up to 31mph. It’s also the very first DJI drone to feature an infrared sensing system.
The shape, colour and sensor placements are the same as its predecessor, however the latest edition features angle-tipped propellers that are similar to those on the Mavic Pro Platinum. It’s these new props that allow for the huge percentage of noise reduction.
The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 provides a powerful imaging solution for various applications including filmmaking, surveying and mapping, enabled with its 30 minutes of flight time, 7 km transmission range (although it must always be kept in VLOS or EVLOS, level of CAA permission depending), 5-directional obstacle sensing system and 1” CMOS Sensor with [email protected] video recording capabilities. The aircraft’s intelligent flight modes include Draw, ActiveTrack, TapFly, Return To Home (which has been upgraded) and Gesture Mode.
The aircraft is also available as a P4P+ V2.0 version, which features a new remote controller with a built-in, ultrabright screen that’s ideal for flying outdoors and in direct sunlight. The built-in screen measures 5.5” with 1080p resolution and the controller has also been redesigned with the speakers now positioned at the bottom-front of the controller.
Packed with all of these new features, it’s safe to say this aircraft is well worth the cost of an upgrade from the Phantom 4 Pro. Similar to the Mavic Pro Platinum / Mavic Air scenario, the question now is whether you make the upgrade or patiently wait for the Phantom 5…
We’ve got the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 available to order at £1,589.00 and the Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0 available to order at £1,819.00.
Don’t forget, you’ll also receive £200 PfCO training discount when booking with any DJI drone purchase.
