DJI Provide Update Regarding Eagerly Anticipated Ronin-S
Anticipation has been building since DJI unveiled the Ronin S at the CES 2018 in Las Vegas earlier this year, and the company has now revealed more details about the product including its price and official launch date.
With shipments expected to begin later this month, the Ronin-S will be DJI’s first single-handed stabiliser for both DSLR and mirrorless camera systems and comes with a whole host of impressive features.
The Ronin-S has several powerful high-torque motors which can support a payload of 8 pounds and accommodate a wide range of popular camera and lens combinations including the Canon 1D and 5D, the Panasonic GH and the Sony Alpha series.
Making the most of DJI’s three-axis gimbal technology, the Ronin-S will deliver shake-free video and incisive photos, while it also features the DJI’s intelligent battery system – which is built into the handle – giving it an estimated operating time of 12 hours.
One of the most interesting elements of the new Ronin is its focus wheel – which can be mounted to either side of the handle – and alongside the new Sport mode, provides the ability to produce seamless transitions to fast movements with tight and quick subject following speed.
Similarly, the Ronin features a new ‘Push Mode’ which means operators can adjust the pan, tilt and roll axis all by hand while it is also powered on an Auto Tune function to automatically adjust the strength of the motors and speeds up gear prep.
A high precision joystick enables users to easily change the camera position that will help when framing the perfect shot; while several dedicated buttons let operators control a number of settings including flicking between SmoothTrack profiles or to simply begin and stop recording.
The eagerly anticipated Ronin-S is available to pre-order from Uplift Drones here for just a deposit of £669.00 and is expected to be shipped in early July.
