CAA Drone Training: The Ins and Outs, Plus our 2018 Calendar
So, you’re thinking of flying a drone commercially? Great! But before you get started, there are a few things that you must do first; book a CAA drone training course, pass a few tests, and write an Operations Manual – you know, the usual.
Once you’ve found an excellent National Qualified Entity- or NQE – (us) you will need to book a training course. Again, we’re not trying to sway your decision but at Uplift we provide two, yes TWO, main forms of PfCO training – the Advanced PfCO and Fast Track PfCO.
All the information you need on all our training courses is available via our simple five-step breakdown of here to help you get from pi-not to pi-lots of flying. Sorry.
Now you know the basics, here’s just a little more info about the CAA PfCO and why you should choose Uplift Drones to help you get it.
What exactly is the CAA Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO)?
I hear you ask.
Well, unlike you may have been told, a ‘drone licence’ as such doesn’t exist but for commercial work the PfCO is the closest thing to one.
The PfCO – or the CAA Permission for Commercial Operations as it is more formally known – is granted by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and allows a company or person to undertake work with their SUA (Small Unmanned Aircraft – the official term for a drone under 20kg).
What we provide
In order to provide you, the customer, with the best training possible we provide two courses (as enthusiastically mentioned earlier) the Advanced PfCO and the Fast Track PfCO.
